What is the Final Golden Symbolic Image in Matrix Revolutions of?
I know this may be subject to a variety of different interpretations - but what is the final golden symbolic image in Matrix Revolutions of? After Deus Ex Machina injects Neo with the energy to eradicate Smith (resulting in Cross symbolism), the machines send a sentry to cart Neo's dead body away. Then, from afar, in golden-tinted vision is a visage of something/someone with long robes/flowing threads because the sentry robot has long, undulating arms. Has this image been confirmed as anything? Is it an image of Jesus? Is it an image of another religious figure, e.g. Buddha or a seraph (with wings)? What has film ysis/criticism argued that this image is, or is it so obvious that it is an image of Jesus with his robes flowing outwards that there is really no dispute that it is an image of Jesus? If not Jesus, what is the image of then?
