ENGLISH BULL TERRIER BY AIRPLANE?? (target dog)

I found THE perfect English Bull Terrier puppy but She is all the way in colombia! The breeder says he can ship her here but I am a little scare cause I believe thats a lot of time to be on a plane.. I heard really bad things about flying them but in I live in CT and I only know of one breeder and the price its waaay to much. So either way any puppy I get I would HAVE to fly it.. It's my dream dog so I need to know if they are any breeders in new england? where I can just go on a car. BTW I tried to adopt but again there are none in CT and the shelters wont ship them this far.
