Is there a way to create "Distilled Water"?

Distilling water means that you boil it and then condense the steam back into water. You could do it at home but the equipment involved would outweigh the convenience of going to the store and buying it especially since it's so cheap. Otherwise any chemistry lab should have plenty of distilled water and I'm sure they would give you a cup for free no problem.
